    From workshops and seminars to networking opportunities, our goal is to foster growth and development for our team members, organization and community. By creating an all-inclusive environment we empower team members to be represented throughout various groups.

    Black & African Americans of Encore

    Our mission is promote development and advancement of under-represented groups within Encore by providing continuing development opportunities, coaching and mentorship.

    Women of Encore

    Our mission is to create a network for the women across the organization to share ideas, support one another and to deliver programs that contribute to the professional and person development of our members.

    PRIDE at Encore

    Our mission is to create and foster an inclusive and engaging LGBTQ+ community and work environment by focusing on community engagement, developing diverse talent, and creating meaningful client relationships through our shared Encore core values.

    Veterans of Encore

    Our mission is to provide opportunities for all employees to recognize and welcome veterans and their families to Encore. In doing so, this group of like-minded employees strives to provide social and professional networking opportunities, facilitate personal unprofessional development, support of Encore’s recruitment and retention of veterans, and participate or sponsor events within our communities to respect, honor, and support our military and veterans.

    The National Society of Minorities in Hospitality (NSMH) is a non-profit organization formed in 1989 at Cornell University and is now the premier professional organization for hospitality students. The main purpose of NSMH is to address diversity and multiculturalism, as well as the career development of student members within the hospitality industry.

    My experience with Encore has been rewarding. I entered this industry as a curious technician who was only interested in getting my hands on some state of the art equipment so I can brag to friends. I quickly discovered how important my role the hospitality industry was and began to appreciate the customer service as well as the technical aspect of my job. Understanding how they go hand in hand became a strength that I wanted to maximize.

    My experience with the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality’s chapter at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore enabled me to learn and gain insight about my future employer, Encore. At their annual conference, I attained valuable information through the workshops, educational sessions, and career fairs to hone in on my skills and grow professionally. Such representation at the conference was critical because it opened my eyes to employment opportunities beyond those one would normally think involve “hospitality.” I’m excited to say that I have been with the company a little over a year as a Sales Manager, and through my position, I have gained additional experience by organizing and assisting teammates with conferences, meetings, and galas. The overall experience is phenomenal and is an opportunity of a lifetime.
