I served 22 years with the Navy in a public affairs role and retired from the Navy Reserve as a Senior Chief Petty Officer in 2016. Encore has supported me through deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan over the past several years and has always been there to make my transition back home easy. I am now a Regional Vice President, Venues with Encore in the Denver market. I have been able to translate my key skills in operations, leadership and team development from my time in the military to my civilian career.

In October 2013, after 14 years of service, I was medically retired from the Coast Guard. At the age of 31, true retirement seemed a bit premature, so I quickly enrolled at the Art Institute of California to pursue my passion in audio. Soon after graduation from the Art Institute in March 2017, I began my career with Encore in San Diego. I quickly advanced from Technician to Technical Lead, and I’m now a Technical Supervisor. My goal is to become the Director of Event Technology at a small property. I recently assisted in the hiring of a veteran of the US Navy and now hope to inspire and motivate even more veterans to join Encore!

As a Sergeant in the United States Army, I served as a UH-60 Flight and Standardization Instructor. For Encore, I am a National Project Manager executing our large-scale, high-complexity national events. The military skills I was able to transfer to the civilian workforce included detail-oriented planning, organization of highly skilled teams, operational leadership, time management and discipline. These skills enable me to efficiently and effectively manage events from concept to conclusion.
