Building Maintenance Technician
Position Overview
Responsible for the first line maintenance of the site(s) facilities. Responds to routine repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion, but also proactively monitors the condition of the site and services to suggest and our carry out improvements once agreed. Follows written and verbal instructions from the Warehouse Manager or Director. Collaborates with contractors as needed. Reports any issues to the Buildings & Logistics manager or Director.
Key Job Responsibilities
Equipment Operation
• Drive Results - Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
• Install appliances and equipment.
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs & Light fittings.
• Carry out electrical test (PAT) on office and nonrental assets.
Customer Service
• Drive World Class Service - Strives to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
• Value People - Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.
Technical Ability
• See the Bigger Picture - Understands the technical aspects of the job and demonstrates operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment. But also recognise that when additional skills are needed, they are requested to eliminate putting yourself or the company in danger.
• Perform cleaning activities
Requirements and Skills
• Self-motivated to achieve without the need for constant line management.
• Understands company processes, follows procedures, and completes systems entry and paperwork accurately.
• Basic knowledge of decorating, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Experience using hand and electrical tools.
• Proven experience as assistant director or other similar positions.
• Able to priorities tasks and time spent.
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GCSE equivalent
• 1+ years of working as a Maintenance man.
• A valid driver’s license.
