Event Operations Coordinator, Toronto

Position Overview

Operations Coordinators are responsible for assisting the day-to-day operations. More specifically, they coordinate information between sales, operations and venue partners. Additionally, will support technicians and sales staff both in the office and at events.

Key Job Responsibilities 

• Relay information for events confirmed at the last minute

• Modify planning based on client needs and communicate these changes to operations team

• Update and maintain operational systems with accurate and timely information to support event execution and workflow efficiency.

Support for events 

• Answer calls from clients and venue partners, and help them find solutions to various problems

• Ensure that the chain of communication is always respected

• Be aware of the progress of operations

• Attend daily meetings with venue partners to review event requirements, operational updates, and upcoming activities.

Job Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the audiovisual industry is considered an asset.
• Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset.
• Valid driver's license is considered an asset.

Hourly Pay Range: $21.00 - $25.00

The compensation offered for this role is determined based on the qualifications outlined in the job posting for the specified location. Final compensation is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant work experience, or particular skills and expertise. In addition, some positions may be eligible for other compensation such as potential overtime, bonuses or incentives.

Work Environment

Warehouse

Work is performed in a warehouse environment. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines based in a warehouse environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area. When in the Warehouse, work will be completed in an environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust.  The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes.  Team members may use high-end audio visual equipment and electrical components.  Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
