Marketing Communications Intern - Summer 2026

Position Overview
Reporting to the Internal Communications Manager, the Communications Intern will play an active role in shaping how Encore connects with its team members. This position supports internal communication programs and key initiatives by partnering with functional leaders and other stakeholders across the business. The intern will help craft clear, compelling messages that align with organizational goals and ensure consistency in how we share information and celebrate success.
Key Job Responsibilities
Internal Communications Management
- Draft internal content, such as intranet news posts, newsletters, organizational announcements and targeted emails, in collaboration with the Communications team and key stakeholders.
- Support the Communications team in editing SharePoint content across the global intranet site, Encore Connect.
- Partner with Encore for All team to support internal communication needs of our Business Resource Groups.
- Recommend strategies to highlight company culture and increase engagement through creative posts and team member challenges on Viva Engage, the company’s internal social network.
- Propose enhancements to communication channels to improve overall communication effectiveness and support best practices.
Analysis
- Research internal communication best practices and provide recommendations on how to improve current tactics or implement new ones.
- Report back on specific success metrics of each individual effort to include insight on how to continually improve execution.
- Explore continuous improvement opportunities as it relates to communicating with a global internal audience, with a particular focus on two-way dialogue communication channels.
Other
- While the Communications Intern will gain a well-rounded experience within the Communications function of Encore, they will collaborate with additional Marketing team members and contribute to other major projects as appropriate.
Job Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field preferred
- Strong writing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and collaborate effectively
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines
- Basic understanding of communication channels and how to use them to engage internal audiences
- Ability to consult with stakeholders and contribute to communication plans that support business goals
- Confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Canva, Photoshop and/or other design software preferred
- Knowledge of SharePoint and intranet development is a plus

Hourly Pay Range: $19.99 - $20.00
The compensation offered for this role is determined based on the qualifications outlined in the job posting for the specified location. Final compensation is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant work experience, or particular skills and expertise. In addition, some positions may be eligible for other compensation such as potential overtime, bonuses or incentives.
