Position Overview

The Buyer Analyst supports all of Encore’s business groups and will work to support initiatives led and managed by the aligned businesses and functional groups. The primary focus of this position will be around the process of purchase orders and delivery of materials to meet customer order requirements. The Buyer will report to the Procurement Manager.

Key Job Responsibilities

Purchasing Process

• Responsible for PO processing and supplier communication.

• Accountable for open PO management and reporting. 

• Continually recommend and/or initiate business process improvement opportunities around the purchasing processes.

• Monitor the order-to-payment process, inclusive of, researching and correcting all PO  related issues that hold up the payment process.  

• Execute on purchasing decisions made by Procurement, Category and Strategic sourcing Managers to satisfy business requirements to improve product delivery times.

Supply Chain Management

• Create and administer pricing updates including, but not limited to, ancillary services and benefits such as warranties and repairs, payments and freight terms, supplier sponsored training, etc., through the guidance of the Sr. Procurement, Category and Strategic Sourcing Managers.

• Work within the Procurement team to ensure continuity across supplier relationships, category strategies, negotiations, and business reviews for all associated suppliers.

• Responsible for quote solicitations.

Analysis

• Analyze which current active supplier(s) spot buys should be executed.

• Collaborate with Master Data Management and Category Managers to ensure accuracy of item pricing and authorized sources of supply for all active items and suppliers.

Support

• Act as the liaison between Product and Category Managers and the supplier community.

• Internally support and administer the RMA process for materials required to be returned to a supplier.

• Balance internal customer expectations against supplier capabilities and respond promptly to customer needs, soliciting feedback to improve service levels and continually meeting or exceeding commitments

• Work with Product and Category Managers to participate and attend in-house product presentations and demonstrations of new technology.

• Participate in  special projects as needed

• Maintain and develop professional and technical knowledge by actively participating in personal and professional networks and societies, as well as keeping abreast of industry/trade publications, whitepapers and market developments.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of experience in a supply chain / logistics environment

• Purchasing material for inventory and non-stock items for customer orders

• Familiarity with Purchasing, Inventory Control and Accounting functions required

• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet or exceed multiple concurrent deadlines

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to conduct negotiations

• Intermediate experience level with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications

• Ability to work with all levels within the organization

Work Environment

Office

Work is performed primarily in an office environment.  The working conditions are moderately quiet. Team members will occasionally visit other work locations for meetings or for other business reasons. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.   Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
