Associate Network Services Engineer
Position Overview
The Network Services organization is responsible for providing consistent and secure network services for over 8,000 Encore colleagues across 1,400 global locations. A successful candidate will have an understanding of Cisco equipment with knowledge of IP, Voice or Transport disciplines and platforms. Reporting into the Manager, Network & Voice Solutions, the Associate Network Services Engineer will work closely with the network engineers to maintain our global network technology and operations.
Key Job Responsibilities
The Associate Network Services Engineer will support network engineers in the following areas:
Network Monitoring & Incident Response
Monitor network environment through Solar Winds
Initial triage of Network Services incidents and requests in IT Ticketing System
Assist the team in resolving network environment issues
Maintain Network Documentation & Processes
Document current environment and maintain network device inventory in IT Ticketing System
Support and maintain the development of standard network processes and procedures
Report on weekly network key performance indicators
Network Infrastructure Maintenance & Projects
Track and execute routine maintenance of network equipment
Participate in projects requiring Network Services support
Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure network services are meeting their needs
Support design, build and deployment of field network solutions
Collaborate on and execute network testing scripts
Job Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical concentration such as Computer Science and Engineering with a GPA of 3.5 and above or equivalent industry experience / qualifications.
Desired certifications include but not limited to: CCT Collaboration, CCT Data Center, CCT Routing and Switching, CCENT, CCNA or equivalent experience.
Experience with Cisco Route Switch, Firewalls, and Telephony.
Experience with DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SSL, LAN/WAN, SD WAN, and DHCP.
Experience with Scripting/Automation is a plus.
Highly motivated individual with passion for learning/sharing information from/with peers.
Strong written and verbal communications.
