Regional Manager of Power Distribution - San Diego
Position Overview
As the Encore Regional Manager of Power Distribution, you will be responsible for overseeing power distribution operations within an assigned region, including: safety and risk management plans, personnel training and development, infrastructure development and installation management and coordinate and manage new opportunities. This position requires you to work closely with the Encore RVPO’s and RVPS’s as well as location DET’s and our location partners. Ability to think on your feet, multi task, accept change, and act accordingly within Encore guidelines, at all times is essential.
Key Job Responsibilities
Safety, Compliance and Infrastructure Development
Responsible for maintaining and fostering a safe environment in each of our PD (Power Distribution) locations ensuring each is in compliance with NEC (National Electric Code) as well as all state and local regulations. Provide site visit support, create financial models, contractor estimates as well as monitor any and all installation conducted within the region. Generally oversee PD operations and provide expertise for any locations that require support for show. Work with contractor to upgrade facilities where required to bring facility up to Encore standard for safe PD operations. Establish ongoing maintenance schedule for locations for all equipment cabling and test equipment. Consult with regional and corporate directors of engineering on major projects regarding renovations and new builds.
Training and Development
Ensure all on-site personnel have received proper training and acquired necessary skills to safely execute PD according to the Encore wall out standard. Support all local, regional and national training efforts, including (not limited to) training at the Elgin EPC.
Sales and Revenue Growth
Provide support to RVPs of Operations and RVPs of Sales partners to prepare and deliver PD presentations to hotel management teams. Work with local hotel engineering staff to secure appropriate documentation during takeover opportunities and/or provide photos of existing electrical infrastructure for discussions. Work with internal team members to assemble and approve power point presentations, new hotel models, terms and conditions, cost structures and overall conditions under which Encore would assume liability for a hotel's PD operations. Ensure all existing connections are up to Encore standard and have been properly evaluated prior to contract signing, and third party contractor and risk management as needed to provide a safe takeover.
Project Management
Partner with the National Power Distribution team to manage and translate the communications between our subject matter experts and our hotel sales and operations teams for project activities within the region. Oversee and manage communications with RVPs of Operations, RVPs of Sales, and hotel management to ensure information is delivered in a concise, professional and proactive manner. Provide on-site support as needed to ensure strategic projects are delivered on-time and local expectations are carefully managed.
Job Qualifications
• 8-10 years in commercial electrical
• Broad familiarity with the trade show and production industries
• Hold or be qualified and eligible to hold commercial electrical or master electrical license in any state within his or her region
• Customer service experience is required with both internal and external customers
• 2-5 years serving in an instructional role
• Able to create and implement training programs safety procedures
• Implement ongoing maintenance and continuous education programs
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
• Familiar with Microsoft Office CADD programs and be able to read blueprints and other technical documents
• Technical writing
• Ability to work long days, have flexible shifts and need to be available 24/7

Work Environment
Work is performed in a hotel environment with limited exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members may use high-end audio visual equipment and electrical components. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.

Salary Pay Range: $98,783.00 - $120,984.00
The compensation offered for this role is determined based on the qualifications outlined in the job posting for the specified location. Final compensation is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant work experience, or particular skills and expertise. In addition, some positions may be eligible for other compensation such as potential overtime, bonuses or incentives.
