  • Coordinate speaker, executive and talent entrances, exits and backstage readiness.
  • Proactively troubleshoot production issues and communicate material impacts to the assigned project lead.

  • Create and maintain organized show files for pre-production, onsite execution and post-production.
  • Support proposals, bids or production planning when included in the engagement scope.
  • Identify gaps or risks in show flow and recommend practical solutions before rehearsals and show time.

Rehearsals and onsite execution

  • Lead or support rehearsals and confirm that presenters, talent, technical operators and backstage teams understand the sequence of events.
  • Maintain control of show timing and cue execution while adapting documentation to approved changes.
  • Communicate concise, unambiguous cues over show communications systems.
  • Manage backstage activity, including speaker readiness, presentation requirements, entrances and exits.
  • Coordinate with the client, producer, technical director, venue and crew to resolve issues without disrupting the program.
  • Maintain professional show-site conduct, documentation and confidentiality.

Post-event

  • Provide updated show files, cue notes and other agreed closeout documentation.
  • Participate in project debriefs when requested.
  • Communicate unresolved issues, lessons learned and relevant follow-up items to the designated project lead.

What you bring

  • Three to five years of relevant technical production or stage-management experience.

  • Working knowledge of audio, lighting, video, graphics and backstage production workflows.
  • Experience in the audiovisual, live-events, hospitality or convention environment.
  • Clear interpersonal communication and strong working relationships with clients, presenters, crews and partners.
  • Calm judgment, organization and problem-solving under time pressure.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a larger production team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant college or post-secondary education is an asset.

Engagement requirements

  • Ability to work flexible project schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to travel to event locations when required by the assignment.
  • Ability to work in offices, hotels, convention centres and other event environments where noise, activity levels and conditions vary.
  • Ability to work around audiovisual equipment, electrical components, lifts, ladders and active production areas while following applicable safety requirements.

Engagements arising from this posting are project-based and subject to a separate written agreement.
