VP Procurement
Position Overview
The VP, Procurement, is responsible for leading and directing the planning and execution of the company’s procurement strategy. This role manages all aspects of sourcing, supplier relationship and contract management, contract negotiations, risk mitigation, working capital, and cost optimization for the company’s U.S. and Mexico businesses. This position will lead/supervise, train, and guide Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, and Procurement Operations teams. The VP, Procurement oversees global procurement policies in alignment with overall business objectives, including supplier innovation and sustainability initiatives. This position reports to the Chief Accounting Officer.
Key Job Responsibilities
Supplier Relations
• Perform supplier relationship management activities, including vendor performance reviews and sharing of market information.
• Collaborate with business partners to develop comprehensive supplier and spend strategies, which incorporate all critical business requirements and successfully lead efforts to final agreement.
• Implement a strategic supplier management philosophy that proactively ensures customer commitments are maintained with on-time delivery.
• Develop, screen, select, qualify and monitor strategic global suppliers to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained.
Product Management
• Direct the analysis of market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and recommend optimal purchasing channels.
• Identify current levels of spending and project future levels of spending for commodities.
• Execute sourcing and procurement strategies for all corporate commodities and suppliers including capital equipment, equipment leases, finance, legal, marketing, HR, and others, as needed.
• Maintain a controlled environment ensuring consistent and controlled buying methods.
Information & Reporting
• Monitor and track category spend levels and vendor compliance.
• Build and maintain an information database including baselines and key performance indicators for suppliers, procurement operations, spend management and value creation.
• Leverage data analytics to drive procurement decisions and performance reporting.
• Implement technologies and systems to improve procurement efficiency and transparency.
• Establish purchasing guidelines and processes.
• Develop long-term procurement strategies around spending, team development, and overall value creation opportunities.
Procurement Management
• Negotiate high-value contracts and agreements to achieve cost savings and meet business objectives.
• Review and approve contracts, bids and agreements.
• Monitor market trends and risks to adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Asset Management, Product Management, IT, Legal, Finance and other areas and communicate effectively with all levels of management.
• As needed, lead and participate in the improvement of internal processes for the acquisition and lifecycle management of products and services.
• Develop and manage the annual sourcing plan.
People Development
• Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing procurement team.
• Manage human resources including selection, performance management, address employee concerns, maintain adequate staffing levels and facilitate team development.
• Support and implement company training and promote career development.
• Develop organization plans to address global business growth.
• Train team members to enhance skills to support organizational needs.
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 15+ years procurement experience in areas of indirect spend or supply chain management, including prior leadership experience
• Deep understanding of strategic sourcing principles and strategy
• Proven track record of contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management
• Analytical ability and understanding of financial analysis
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills

Work Environment
Office
Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.

Salary Pay Range: $202,746.00 - $275,961.00
The compensation offered for this role is determined based on the qualifications outlined in the job posting for the specified location. Final compensation is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant work experience, or particular skills and expertise. In addition, some positions may be eligible for other compensation such as potential overtime, bonuses or incentives.
