Senior Accountant International

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant International is responsible for accounting, consolidation, and reporting of Encore’s international subsidiaries.  This includes working closely with subsidiaries’ finance teams to gather their information and accurately recording their monthly activity in corporate’s systems and analyzing and reporting their results to management.  This role is expected to contribute to solutions and improvements to issues that arise, work with little supervision, and make decisions on how best to approach a given assignment. 

Key Job Responsibilities 

International Month End Close

• Drive the month end close process for the international subsidiaries.  Execute the steps to load their financial results into FCCS, Oracle Financial Consolidation & Close System.  Perform reconciliations of data in FCCS to subsidiaries’ supporting data tools, analyze data to identify issues and contribute to their resolution.

• Maintain and enhance the tools that are used to execute the transfer of data from the international subsidiaries to Corporate.

• Create and upload journal entries as needed to adjust the international results.

• Maintain the accounting records for the corporate international subsidiaries, primarily consisting of purchase price accounting adjustments.

• On a quarterly basis, assist in the completion of the subsidiaries’ cash flows and analytical procedures.

Intercompany and Investments in Subsidiaries

• Execute the intercompany receivable/payable process for the entire company.  This includes sharing intercompany charges with the subsidiaries and performing the monthly reconciliations to ensure proper elimination through researching and resolving variances.

• Execute the investment in subsidiary elimination process.  This includes performing reconciliations to ensure that investments are properly eliminated against subsidiaries equity.

Foreign exchange

• Analyze the foreign currency translation results for both balance sheet and P&L to ensure that they are accurate and appropriate.

• Maintain tools necessary to perform the analysis.

Reporting

• Run the monthly reporting package of international results for management.  This includes maintaining the tools that pull information from FCCS to generate the constant currency reporting against prior year and budget.

Oracle Maintenance 

•Assist in the maintenance of our Oracle GL hierarchy structures.

Audit Support

• Provide support to external and internal auditors for their work on the international subsidiaries.  This includes analyzing quarterly analytics on results as well as gathering information as required from the subsidiaries.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum of BS/BA in Accounting

• CPA achieved or in process a plus  

• 4 years general/staff accounting experience

•Thorough knowledge of Excel (advanced level)

• Strong analytical skills

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills

• Experience with FCCS, Oracle Cloud GL or similar ERP software

• Experience with accounting for foreign operations is a plus

.  Work Environment

Work is performed primarily in an office environment.  Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.   Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
